Virtual Event Marketing

eLearning Day

The Academy of Managed Care Pharmacy’s (AMCP) eLearning Day was a one-day virtual event featuring three interactive sessions designed to boost registration among both members and non-members.

Event Goals

AMCP’s Education team targeted 300 registrations for eLearning Day, with the ambitious goal of achieving a 60% attendance rate.

Marketing Strategy

I developed a comprehensive marketing strategy that strategically combined email campaigns, social media outreach, web optimization, and onsite signage to amplify visibility to eLearning Day and drive registrations.

Email Campaign

Since eLearning Day offered continuing education credits, I targeted managed care pharmacists with segmented email campaigns two months before eLearning Day—reminding current members of free access and highlighting membership savings to non-members (non-member fee $99). I sent day-of reminder emails to current registrants to help secure a 60% attendance rate.

Web Optimization

I cross promoted eLearning Day on AMCP’s calendar, homepage, and education webpages.

Social Media

I led a team of coordinators to develop engaging social media content for LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram while collaborating with our in-house graphic designer to create impactful visuals promoting the event.

Onsite Signage

I collaborated with AMCP’s conference director to integrate event promotional slides into the session presentations for our national conference, AMCP Nexus.

Results

The event surpassed registration projections by 27% and generated $4,000 in revenue.
